Leipzig: N A S acquires value-added property from the Postbank and plans repositioning

Frankfurt am Main / Leipzig, 07.12.2020.

N A S Invest has acquired the value-added office property “Forum am Mariannenpark” on the border to Leipzig city centre from the German based bank Postbank. The office property at Rohrteichstraße 16-20 has a total rental area of around 46,000 square metres and is currently 26 percent let.

With this transaction, N A S Invest is securing a property with a high potential for value enhancement, which is to be raised in the course of repositioning the building complex. Although the building is in good condition, N A S Invest is planning further investments in the structure. Targeted measures will be taken to create attractive office space in an exceptionally good location. The purchase price will enable attractive rents well below Leipzig’s top rents, making the property attractive to a wide range of potential users.

The “Forum am Mariannenpark” was built in 1995 and provides almost 34,000 square metres of office space and 481 parking spaces – 459 of which are in the building’s own underground car park. Around 12,000 square metres are made up of storage space, a canteen and a partially covered atrium. The property benefits from its excellent location: Leipzig’s main railway station can be reached in just eight minutes by tram and the city centre is less than ten minutes away by car. The directly adjacent federal roads B6 and B87 also provide access to long-distance traffic.

The transaction was accompanied by the Leipzig investment team of BNP Paribas Real Estate. The buyer was legally advised by the lawyers Dr. Mittelstein & Partner.
